I am Megan, aka, the Weight Loss Mother. I started this weight loss blog to help other people, especially moms, lose weight. This is not just my own personal mom weight loss blog. I love to share all the tips and tricks I’ve learned on my journey with the world!
As most women who have children, I gained an excessive amount of weight during both my pregnancies. With my first son, I gained 65 pounds. I only lost 10 pounds before getting pregnant again and gaining 50 more pounds!
I went from being the skinny girl who could eat whatever she wanted and not gain a pound to the big girl who gained weight from just looking at a milkshake.
A couple of weeks after having my second son, enough was enough! I was tired of being overweight, out of breath and tired all the time. I was also diagnosed with Peripartum Cardiomyopathy during pregnancy and the weight was putting a strain on my heart. I had to do something and that something was lose weight. This time, my plan was going to work. I was going to stick with it and become what I wanted, skinny and healthy.
I lost 140 pounds in a little under a year. It wasn’t easy but it’s been a blessing to have lost that amount of weight. My heart is now at normal function and no more heart failure since losing the weight!
