Vitamin Angels and $20 Whole Foods Card Giveaway

I have always stressed the importance of vitamins while losing weight and while living a healthy life.  Children need vitamins too but what about those children in 3rd world countries that can’t afford food, let alone vitamins?

When a child takes a vitamin, they are helping to maintain a healthy immune system or build one.  Vitamins help the immune system fend off infections and build antibodies to various illnesses.  Not all children around the world are as fortunate.

Luckily, there is an organization called Vitamin Angels.  From their site (http://www.vitaminangels.org):

Our mission is to mobilize and deploy private sector resources to advance availability, access and use of micronutrients, especially vitamin A, among at-risk populations in need.

Vitamin Angels reduces child mortality worldwide by connecting essential nutrients with infants and children under five. Essential nutrients enable young immune systems to fight infectious diseases, helping children attain good health and the opportunity to lead meaningful and productive lives.

Angels indeed.
