Blogger Olympics sponsored by Jambu Footwear #Brandcation

I seriously thought that I would gain weight at Brandcation.  Boy was I wrong.  On our first day we had a little friendly competition of Blogger Olympics sponsored by Jambu Footwear which was so much fun.  Each condo was split into teams and each team had a fun name.  My condo’s team was Snark Attack with our condo leader, Blondie (aka Nicole).  On my team (and my fabulous housemates) were Alison, Toni, Jenn, Maria, Maggie, and Jenn.

We started out doing a difficult scavenger hunt.  We almost won but we were beat by another team, booo!

Our first activity was to build a sandcastle into the White House (hard I know).  Luckily I had just been to Washington DC a few months before so it was fresh in my mind that it was a rectangle and had columns, helpful I know.  We got to work!

We won that challenge!  All the teams did an awesome job though.  We took the time to make a garden in the back like the First Lady’s garden and a little airplane for Air Force One.  We also made a gate and Pennsylvania Avenue out front.  We rocked it!

Then it was time for other activities like a race through the water on a float (which was so hard!), hula hooping and a race to see which team could put on a grass skirt, necklace and coconut bra first.  Here’s me trying to move fast doing this:

Jambu FootwearA big, big thank you to Jambu Footwear for sponsoring this fun event for us.  They have such a wide selection of shoes, some for the active women.  I am really digging JBU300-Barefoot shoe:

Bare Feet Designs is a minimalistic approach to footwear for women on the move. These designs embody the barefoot stride by allowing a wider range of natural motion for your feet and leg muscles. A blend of rice husks and natural rubber make the Bare Feet™ outsoles eco-friendly and sustainable. These breathable flats are versatile and easy to get on and off, making them a perfect shoe for spring and summer.

That was so much fun! Congrats on your sandcastle win (even if ours did have a live First Family). ;)
