Cardio and Target Heart Rate

Cardiovascular exercises (aka “cardio”) boosts weight loss! I’m not one that loves to do cardio but I do it because I know it sheds pounds quick and is good for the heart. Over the past year, I’ve learned to like cardio.

My second favorite cardio exercise next to dancing is working out on the elliptical! It’s not hard on my joints like the treadmill and is actually kind of fun. I can even sway my hips while working out so it’s kind of like dancing (I can’t help it, I have to listen to music). One key to losing the most fat while doing cardio is to stay at your target heart rate the entire time. You can find a target heart rate calculator on this blog by scrolling down.

I love the eliptical. That was my cardio of choice before I had kids and could actually go to the gym :) I also wanted to tell you that you have inspired me to stop being lazy and do something about these last few pounds of baby weight. So Thank you :)
