What is the weirdest way you have ever tried to lose weight? All of us have probably tried to lose weight at one point or another. Sometimes we get so desperate that we are willing to try anything. If you have thought of an odd way to lose weight, someone else has probably tried it.

Eating Baby Food?

There is a question mark out of this title because this seems like an extremely baby food for weight lossodd way to lose weight. Yes, it has actually been tried before. What is the reasoning behind this wacky way to lose weight?  The reasoning behind it actually makes sense but it is not all that appealing. The promoters of this diet say that baby food is highly nutritious but is not high in calories.

Caffeine the Fat Off

coffee dietThis is an odd diet that has shown up in many forms. Sometimes it is referred to as the “coffee diet” and other times it’s called the “caffeine diet.” Either way it cannot be healthy for you. Some say that the high levels of caffeine are a way to make your metabolism speed up. Many different caffeine diets have been introduced from caffeine tights to caffeine drinks. Have you tried one of these?

Eating Raw Foodsraw food diet

This kind of diet is bound to make anyone throw up. Eating certain raw foods is okay on occasion but your body cannot handle it every day. Some even claim it has anti-aging properties. Remember that in order to lose and maintain that weight loss; you must eat nutritious foods like protein and calcium. Your body could suffer a great loss from a diet like this. This diet is odd and very dangerous.

Starving Yourself

starvation dietIf you have ever tried to lose weight then this may have crossed your mind. However, it is obviously not safe in any way. There are certain diets in which you can rid your body of wasteful toxins but starving your body cannot help you maintain a consistent weight loss. Smaller portions are the answer to weight loss but starving yourself is not.

The Patch Dietnicotine diet

The patch diet is one of the oddest diets out there. Some people are convinced that they can lose weight while wearing a smoker’s patch. A smoker’s patch is used to help a person stop smoking but not to lose weight. Nicotine is actually a proven substance that is highly addictive. On your weight loss journey you may find more than one problem if you are using smokers patches.

The Worm Diet

tapeworm dietDid you read that correctly? Yes, it is known as the worm diet and you may have seen this one on a popular TV show. For centuries people have used a tape worm to achieve major weight loss. The lengths that people will go to lose weight is incredible but you will pay a great price for it. Tape worms are not healthy for the human body and should never be ingested to use for weight loss. This is probably one of the weirdest ways to attempt to lose weight.

How can I really lose weight without these odd dieting tricks?

The truth is that you do not need caffeine, worms or a special outfit in order to lose weight. Losing weight is a lifetime commitment that will take patience and determination. You are more than capable of achieving your ultimate weight loss goals without the help of a tape worm.

Start your weight loss journey changing one thing at a time. That one major change might be taking a walk around your block. Increase your walks every day until you can walk five miles a day. Slow steps will help you reach and achieve the weight loss goals of your dreams.

If you are looking for a real way to lose weight and need some help check out a yummy new healthy recipe or Vitatops that help curb hunger. Things do exist to help you lose weight that does not jeopardize your overall health. Hunger suppressants and vitamins are excellent ways to build on your weight loss goals. We all need that little extra boost to get us to the top but that does not include baby food or a nicotine patch.

What is the wackiest diet you have heard of?

Eating raw foods, really? I don’t know about that and I wouldn’t suggest anyone trying to starve themselves.

WOW! I’ve tried quite a few over the years but never, not ever would I purposefully put a worm in my body!

The THOUGHT of eating raw meat is enough to make me lose my breakfast!

This just goes to show that people will go to major extremes to lose weight. The best way to lose weight is drink plenty of water, eat healthier foods (it’s okay to eat a brownie every now then then), an exercise. It’s that simple! Been there and done that. :)

That worm one gives me the heebie jeebies!

20 Tammy October 17, 2011 at 8:21 am

I think eating raw meat is just wrong. I also think that any diet that eliminates one or more food groups is wrong.

21 Barbara Platt October 18, 2011 at 6:49 am

stars use the baby food diet when they want to lose weight. I wish I could remember the one who did it recently – drives me crazy when I forget a name

22 Allison October 19, 2011 at 12:40 pm

I’ve heard of people doing tapeworms.. YUCK!

I’ve tried just about every diet (well — not any of the current ones..) but I have to say the weirdest diet was eating nothing at all. It worked.. but not for long.

23 Katie October 19, 2011 at 4:50 pm

I’ve done just about everything, but I draw the line at the Cabbage Soup Diet. Just doesn’t sound healthy!

24 Seanmurryweightloss.com October 19, 2011 at 11:39 pm

Goodness! I find these diet regimens weird! I can’t imagine myself using worms just to get fit… I really don’t believe some people will resort to these kind of diet regimens! Very hilarious indeed.
